
(DAVIESS CO.) - The Daviess County Council will meet Tuesday for a joint presentation by the council and county commissioners regarding the possible refinancing of bonds for the Daviess County Security Center.
The meeting which will be at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room of the Daviess County Courthouse is open to the public.
The Daviess County Council decided to move forward with looking into new bonds with a lower interest rate for the Daviess County Security Center in hopes of saving the county money.
The county currently owes $5.62 million on the jail bond that is set to be paid in full by July 2023.
