Community Health And Wellness Fair Saturday At Bloomington Famers' Market

(BLOOMINGTON) - The City of Bloomington Community and Family Resources Department and the Monroe County Chapter of the American Red Cross will co-sponsor a Community Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday at City Hall during the Bloomington Farmers’ Market.

Public health exhibits and health screenings will take place in the City Hall Atrium from 9:00am-noon; a community blood drive will be in City Hall Council Chambers from 9am-1pm, and yoga for children will take place in the McCloskey Conference Room from 10:00am-10:45am.

Yoga for children is sponsored by the City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Children and Youth led by Alison Miller of Bloomington Parks and Recreation.

The Prevent Child Abuse Chapter will provide face painting for children at their booth.

IU Health Bloomington will offer blood pressure and A1C blood sugar screenings (no fasting necessary).

Other screenings include Indiana University Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, Osmon Chiropractic and Pearle Vision.

Public health exhibitors and not-for-profit organizations will educate the public on how their agencies contribute to a healthier community in Bloomington and Monroe County.

Please stop by and visit the Bloomington Farmers' Market, where you can find healthy food choices for you and your family. All health screenings and activities are free of charge and open to the general public.
