Bloomington Utilities Issues Boil Order

(BLOOMINGTON) - The City of Bloomington Utilities issued a precautionary boil water advisory for some customers following localized fire hydrant flushing of the water distribution system.

Customers in the following areas are affected:

East Fairwood Drive, East Woodland Drive, North Rural Street, East Richland Drive, and East Prairie Drive in the Fairwood Terrace Neighborhood. North Old State Road 37 from North Dunn Street to East Prairie Drive, East Bethel Lane, East Northcliff Avenue, and North Christina Lane.

Customers in these areas are advised to boil drinking water for 5 minutes prior to consumption until further notice. Tap water is okay for washing/bathing. These customers are also advised to flush their systems by running cold water through all fixtures, including the washing machine, until the water runs clear.
