(BEDFORD) - Officials at Bertha’s Mission is asking the community to participate in its annual 10X10 fast on April 18.
The community kitchen is asking for participants to fast for 10 hours, say 10 prayers and donate $10 to Bertha's Mission.
Bertha's Mission is located at 512 Lincoln Avenue in Bedford and at the First Church of God on 12th Street in Mitchell. The kitchen serves free meals to help battle hunger.
The group is in need of funds to pay for utilities and other supplies that are not donated to the organization.
Donations and the $10 can be dropped off at either of the mission's locations.
