(BEDFORD) - The Bedford North Lawrence Scholarship Foundation annual award night is Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Bedford North Lawrence Performing Arts Center.
Funding for scholarships is provided mainly through benevolent and memorial contributions from the community. Assets are invested by the board to maintain the value of the original gift. Last year, 316 scholarships were awarded.
With the rising cost of education, these scholarships give students the opportunity to get a head start financially so that they can focus on the academic challenges ahead of them. The members of the Bedford North Lawrence Scholarship Foundation want to express their appreciation for the generosity and compassion that the community has shown over the past 48 years. The foundation invites others to partner with it to achieve that goal and give the gift of education.
