(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly got into an argument and hit a pregnant woman in the face and chocked her Thursday afternoon.

Police arrested 27-year-old Randy Lebo, of 13 Briar Ave on a charge of domestic battery.

Lawrence County Police received a 911 call at 3:07 p.m. from a woman who says she was at McDonald's drive-through when she got into an argument with Lebo.

Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says Lebo hit her in the face, elbowed her in the stomach and choked her throat with both using both hands. The woman was 8 months pregnant.

The woman then fled and ran to Lowe's where police found her hiding in the break room.

At the same time Lawrence County Police found Lebo at his home and were questioning him.

The woman was taken to an IU Health Hospital ambulance to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
