(EVANSTON) - A Spencer County teen suffered serious injures after being thrown from the ATV he was driving.

According to Indiana Conservation officers, 15-year-old Tyler Luecke, who suffered head injures, was taken by a family member to Memorial Hospital in Jasper and then flown by medical helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville

The accident happened at approximately 2 p.m. on Monday. Luecke was driving the ATV at his home when for an unknown reason he was thrown from the vehicle.

Officers say Luecke was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
