Loogootee Woman Arrested On Drug, OWI Charges

(JASPER) - A Loogootee woman was arrested Monday after another motorist reported her erratic driving to Jasper Police.

Police received the call around 9:30 a.m.

The caller told police the female driver was weaving all over the roadway and was last seen driving south on Newton Street (U.S. 231).

Police stopped the vehicle turning into the Jasper Walmart parking lot. The driver struck the curb as it entered the lot.

The driver, a woman, then got out of the vehicle and entered the store. An officer stopped her just inside the store.

Police say 30-year-old Miranda Rehl failed a field sobriety test. Officers also found Relh was in possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

She was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
