Lawrence County Community Foundation Announces Opening Of 2016 Grant Cycle

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Community Foundation announces its 2016 open grant cycle. 

$50,000 will be available for charitable programs and projects that serve Lawrence County. Additional funding is available for education and specific areas of need.

The 2015 open grant cycle awarded over $45,000 to twenty-six Lawrence County groups and agencies including Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County, Celebrate Recovery, Hope Resource Center, Huron Volunteer Fire Department, Fayetteville Community Lions Club, Lawrence County Museum, and White River Humane Society.

Grant application packets are available at the community foundation office located in the old Bedford post office building at 1324 K Street, Suite 150 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The 2016 application is also available online at www.cfpartner.org/lccfgrantshowtoapply.htm.

Non-profit organizations recognized by the IRS as having 501(c)(3) status, educational institutions, and governmental entities are eligible to apply.

Completed applications received by the community foundation by 4 p.m., Thursday, April 21, will be considered for funding.
