Last Day To Register To Vote For May Primary Is April 4

Last updated on Thursday, March 24, 2016

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Clerk Myron Rainey is reminding voters that the last day to register to vote for the Primary Election is April 4.

Registration applications may be submitted to the Voter Registration Office by 4:30 p.m. on April 4. Voters can also register online until 11:59 p.m. or check their current registration status or polling place by visiting www.IndianaVoters.com.

Rainey strongly urges Hoosier voters to confirm that their voter registration information is accurate and up-to-date, to ensure that their voice will be heard on Election Day.

Anyone who needs to vote via an Absentee ballot can call the Voter Registration Office and request an application. These are not sent out automatically every election; voters must request them each time.

The United States Postal Service has indicated that turnaround time for mail may take longer than normal in the upcoming months. Please consider this and give adequate time for your election mail to arrive on time.

Any questions may be directed to the Voter Registration Office at (812) 277-2036.
