(CANNELTON) - A murder suspect is now in custody.
Indiana State Police were looking for a man involved in a fatal shooting in Cannelton Monday morning.
After some time they located 47-year-old Stacy Matheny and arrested him in Hancock County, KY.
According to police, Matheny drove to a home at 4346 Bell Hollow Road and confronted another male. During a brief verbal altercation, Matheny allegedly pulled a out a handgun and fatally shot the man.
The man, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.
Matheny left the scene driving a green 2001 Ford Explorer. Matheny's father was also possibly in the vehicle.
