Indiana Safe Sleep Program Offered

(BEDFORD) - Purdue Extension - Lawrence County is offering Indiana Safe Sleep Program to keep a sleeping child safe.

The goal of this program is to decrease the number of infant deaths pertaining to unsafe sleep practices.

The event will be offered free of charge on Friday, March 11 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 22 from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Purdue Extension - Lawrence County Office at 924 16th Street.

To participate, you do not have to be a resident of Lawrence County. You must be caring for a child up to 1 year in age, or if you are pregnant, you must be within 1 month of giving birth.

Classes coverage includes:

Participants receive an Infant Survival Kit which includes one Pack-n-Play, a wearable blanket, a pacifier and take-home recommendations.
