Don't know where to fish? A few ideas:

Don't forget: Fishing is not always catching fish, but it's trying to catch fish.

To help celebrate Free Fishing Days, locations are planning fishing derbies, knot tying and casting clinics, and cleaning and cooking classes.

In 2014, nearly 2,700 people participated in Free Fishing Day events. Some events require pre-registration, so call your favorite property for details.

Individuals with special needs should contact the property at least 72 hours before the event, or call the DNR Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator at (317) 232-4145.

If you enjoyed the Free Fishing Days, please consider purchasing a fishing license so you can fish throughout the entire year. Plus, sales help fund fisheries management, maintain public access sites, and provide free sport fishing educational programs.

For future fishing events, view the Division of Fish & Wildlife's calendar.

If you wish to learn how to host a fishing event, please visit Go FishIN or contact atgofishin@dnr.in.gov.
