Dubois Co. Inmate Charged After X-Ray Finds Drugs

Last updated on Thursday, March 10, 2016

(JASPER) - An inmate at Dubois County Security Center is now facing additional charges after an X-ray revealed a lighter and suspected synthetic marijuana in his rectum.

Jail officials suspected 26-year-old Eric Crowe of Evansville was hiding the illegal substance after they suspected he was smoking the substance in the cell block.

Crowe had reported to the Security Center to serve a commitment for a charge of possession of marijuana.

Officers secured a warrant to X-ray Crowe after a metal detector sounded while searching Crowe.

Crowe removed the contraband he had concealed.

He is now facing charges of trafficking with an inmate and possession of a synthetic drug.
