Last updated on Monday, March 7, 2016

(BEDFORD) - Watching a child fall in love with books can be a rewarding and joyful sight.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library will send free books every month to every child in Lawrence County from birth until their 5th birthday, but only with your help.

Lawrence County must pay for the postage for these books.

Bedford Federal challenges all businesses and individuals to contribute to this valuable program.

Children, ages 0-5 receive a free book once a month. The Dolly Parton Foundation pays for the books; however, each county participating must pay for the postage.

The enrollment initially reached 700-800 children which costs $15,000 to $20,000 per year. The postage averages around $25 per child per year.

Bedford Federal will be collecting fund from March 15 till April 15.
