(UNDATED) - Two rival teams on the field are coming together to fight cancer.
The Bedford North Lawrence Stars and Mitchell Bluejackets baseball teams "Coaches vs. Cancer Game" will raise money for Relay for Life of Lawrence County.
Their goal is to raise $10,000. Last year BNL raised $5,000.
The game will be Friday, May 6. A gate fee of $5 will go toward the $10,000.
A fundraising event will be held on Tuesday, April 5 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pizza Hut. Ten percent of the sales during that time frame will go to Coaches vs Cancer. Teams will be at Pizza Hut.
Players are encouraging as many cancer survivors at possible to come join the action on game day. Before the first pitch, the teams will honor all cancer survivors in attendance.

Team members are also selling "strike" out cancer shirts available. The cost is $12-$15 depending on size.
