Bloomington Woman Suffers Serious Injuries After Being Struck By Vehicle

(GREENE CO.) - A Bloomington woman suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning.

According to a Greene County Sheriff's Department press release, the woman was struck around 1:20 a.m. on State Road 45 near the intersection of Shady Meadows.

According to police, 39-year-old Mandy Jo Mounce was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital and then LifeLined to Methodist Hospital.

Police say that 67-year-old David Collier of Bloomington was traveling north on State Road 45 near Shady Meadows when he struck Mounce.

No other information is available at this time because the incident is still under investigation.

Assisting departments include Greene County EMS and Center Township Fire Department.
