(BLOOMFIELD) - A Bedford woman was arrested last week on charges of neglect of a dependent and operating a vehicle while intoxicated after a traffic stop near the intersection of East State Road 54 and State Road 445.

According to a Greene County Superior Court probable cause affidavit, sheriff deputies were alerted to a car traveling all over the roadway. The concerned motorist then flashed her lights at the vehicle to try and keep the car on the roadway. Soon after the concerned motorist reported the vehicle had pulled to the side of the road and the caller went to check on her. That is when the caller noticed a child around six or seven in the back seat of the car.

Police found the vehicle, driven by Tegan Barrett, traveling 30 to 35 in a 50 miles per hour zone heading towards the intersection of State Road 445.

After pulling the car over, police discovered Barrett was intoxicated. Barrett failed standard field sobriety tests.

Barrett told police she had taken four shooters earlier.

Barrett and the child were taken to the Greene County Jail were Barrett had a blood-alcohol level of .109.

Police arrested Barrett and the Department Of Child Services was contacted.
