Two Injured After Vehicle Rolls Down Embankment

(BEDFORD) - Two Bedford teens were injured after their vehicle slid on a patch of ice and rolled down an embankment Tuesday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 19-year-old Rachel Mathis of Bedford was traveling east on Tunnelton Road when she tapped her brakes on the ice-covered road and lost control of her 1994 Isuzu Trooper.

The vehicle slid off the roadway, rolling over an embankment, flipping on the driver's side.

Rachel complained of shoulder and upper arm pain. Her passenger, 19-year-old Rebekah Mathis of Bedford suffered minor bleeding to her elbow and lower arm.
