Two Drivers Injured In State Road 37 Crash

(OOLITIC) - Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the stop light at Oolitic on Ind. 37, Wednesday night.

According to a Lawrence County Police reported, 20-year-old Rachel Brock was traveling south in the right lane of Ind. 37 near Patton hill Road when she entered the intersection and a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Bernard Doane of Oolitic came across the intersection from the east and struck her 2003 Mercury Sable. Brock claimed she had the green light during the incident.

Doane told police he was traveling north on State Road 37 and had the green arrow light to turn west onto Patton Hill Road.

Brock complained of stomach pain and Doane complained of back pain. Both were taken by IU Health Hospital.

Assisting at the scene was an IU Health Hospital ambulance crew and Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department
