Seymour Police Recover 17 Grams Crystal Meth And Cash

(SEYMOUR) - The discovery of more than 17 grams of crystal meth and $3,000 in cash during a traffic stop early Sunday morning in Seymour led to the arrest of two women.

39-year-old Michelle Root of Seymour and 49-year-old harlotte Moore of Medora face charges of dealing in meth more than 10 grams and possession of meth. Moore also faces a reckless possession of drug paraphernalia charge.

The arrests were made by Seymour Officer Jim Handley, who reported stopping a pickup for multiple traffic violations in the area of East Harrison Drive.

Both are being held at the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown without bond pending their initial hearing.
