Last updated on Friday, February 26, 2016

(LINTON) - Police are looking for a Linton man accused of injuring a pregnant woman.

Police say Travis Snowden is wanted on a felony charge of battery causing bodily injury to a pregnant woman.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Linton police were alerted to the attack on January 28.

The victim told police that she and Snowden had been arguing and Snowden struck her several times the day before. Once he fell asleep she attempted to leave and go to the police station.

But Snowden woke up and found her and forced her into a vehicle. She told police that Snowden then began punching her and tried to drive the car into a lake.

Once the two returned to the apartment, he reportedly put her in a headlock and began spitting in her face.

Around 4:30 a.m., Snowden fell asleep and she was able to call family to come get her.

The female suffered bruises to her right arm and wrist, as well as bruising to her hip.

Police have been unable to find Snowden.
