(BEDFORD) - Bedford Parks Board members voted to allow officials at Otis Park Golf Course to seek a new leasing contract for gasoline-powered golf carts.
Currently all the golf carts at Otis are powered by electric batteries.
The Times Mail reported that the city's five-year contract with Club Car expires this fall. Officials like the electric carts, but they can't retain enough power to climb the steep hills and terrain of the golf course.
Officials will meet with Club Car representatives and return to the board with a recommendation.
