(BLOOMINGTON) - A missing Bloomington man was found dead in Monroe County on Saturday.
Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of 44-year-old Troy Richardson.
Monroe County Sheriff Department initially took a missing person report of Richardson from his family on January 13.
Richardson was last seen outside of his step mother's home on South Knightridge Road in southeast Monroe County.
Police say it was not unusual for Richardson to be away from home for several days without contact, however after two weeks many family members and friends became very concerned and began searching the area for him.
Richardson was found in the woods near his stepmother's home by a neighbor.
It is unclear how Richardson died. An autopsy will be scheduled to help determine the cause of death.
