(BLOOMINGTON) - The Monroe County prosecutor has offered one of two men a plea deal after he was charged with breaking into an apartment and then raping two Indiana University students at gunpoint.

20-year-old Michael DeWeese of Indianapolis signed that plea deal Thursday and told Monroe County Judge Marc Kellams that he intends to plead guilty to the charge on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.

Prosecutor Jeff Kehr says the contents of that plea deal won't be made public until Judge Kellams approves the deal.

DeWeese is facing 15 felony charges, including attempted murder, rape and armed robbery as well as others. In the plea deal, DeWeese may plead guilty to any of these charges and some may be altered or dropped.

Monroe County Prosecutor Jeff Kehr says another man; 20-year-old Vaylen Glazebook, also of Indianapolis; is charged with the same crimes and may also have a chance to enter into a plea agreement.

Glazebook is facing the same 15 charges.

Both are being held on half-million-dollar bonds.

According to police, on November 9, 2015 both men broke into an off-campus apartment near the IU-Bloomington campus and raped two women inside. A third woman, who was hiding inside the apartment, called 911 to say she feared her roommates were being killed.

Both men are also accused of firing shots at a police officer as they fled the apartment. Both were injured in a police pursuit. Glazebrook suffered a minor gunshot wound to his upper right arm and DeWeese in his leg. No police officers were injured in the gunfire.

A third defendant in the case, 20-year-old Jesse Benti-Torres of Danville, is charged with burglary and assisting a criminal. He is accused of driving the two men to the apartment. He however, didn't go inside but waited in the vehicle for the men to return. He was released after posting bond and will appear in court for a pretrial hearing on April 19.
