I-69 Partners Announce Several Road Closures

(BLOOMINGTON) - The I-69 Development Partners Team announces intermittent weekend single-lane closures of both the northbound and southbound travel lanes on State Road 37 from Kinser Pike to Cannaught Road.

Lane closures on SR 37 will be required to install temporary pavement markings to shift traffic to the outside shoulder to provide working room for bridge construction at Griffy and Bean Blossom Creeks and Bean Blossom Overflow. Lane closures are scheduled to begin today at 9 p.m. and will continue through Monday, February 8 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

There will also be road closures on State Road 37 from approximately 600 feet south of Crossover Road to Sylvan Lane and the intersection of Turkey Track Road/Old SR 37. Road closures will be required for a maximum of 10 minutes at a time to drop existing overhead power lines and to install new lines. Work will take place on Sunday, February 7 and will be completed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., weather permitting.

There will be single-lane closures with flagger protection on Danlyn Lane, Yonkers Street, Cota Drive, Rex Grossman Boulevard. and Cooperative Way. Lane closures will be required to verify the horizontal and vertical location of existing utility facilities. Work will begin on Monday, February 8, and will continue through February 19 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Lane closures will be required to install new utility lines. Work will begin on Monday, February 8 and continue through February 19, weather permitting. The work will be completed daily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be intermittent road closures on State Road 37 at Vernal Pike. Road closures will be required for a maximum of 15 minutes at a time to drop existing overhead power lines. Work will take place on Sunday, February 7 and be completed between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.

There will be permanent closure at the access of Tapp Road from Yonkers Street. Yonkers Street will be closed to thru traffic from Indian Creek Drive to Tapp Road. Traffic will utilize Indian Creek and Fairington drives and Rayle Place to access Tapp Road. Access to and from Tapp Road via Yonkers Street will be permanently closed in early March.
