Hymera Town Marshal And Son Arrested On Battery Charges

Last updated on Monday, February 29, 2016

(HYMERA) - Indiana State Police arrested Hymera Town Marshal Darrrick Cullison and his son Thursday in connection with a fight that broke out at the Hymera Town Council meeting in December.

41-year-old Darrick Cullison and 20-year-old Destin Cullison are each facing one count of misdemeanor battery causing bodily injury.

State Police allege the town marshal and his son attacked 69-year-old Daryl McCullough of Hymera during the town council meeting. The attack was captured on TV cameras.

Cullison was terminated from his position as town marshall back in October by the Town Council and replaced by McCullough.

However, this year the Town Council rehired Cullison after firing McCullough for failing to pass a law enforcement test.
