Last updated on Monday, February 22, 2016

(BEDFORD) - A Columbus man was arrested after he was passed out in his vehicle at the Circle K at H and 16th Street early this morning.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the service station just after 4 a.m. The caller reported a man in a vehicle who had been parked at the gas pumps for some time.

When officers arrived they found 21-year-old Cody Harrison slumped over the steering wheel.

"Officers were finally able to wake Harrison and determined he was intoxicated after they smelled the odor of alcohol and noticed Harrison had vomited in his vehicle," Parsley added.

Harrison told police that he pulled into the lot to sleep off his intoxication.

Harrison was arrested on a charge of public intoxication.
