(BEDFORD) - Steve Harpster, a cartoonist, book illustrator and author from Ohio, will visit art classes in all 10 of North Lawrence elementary schools beginning today.
Harpster is visiting the schools at no charge.
He also will host two free "family night drawing sessions." The evening events will be from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday in the Bedford North Lawrence High School Performing Arts Center.
Everyone is invited to attend; students must be accompanied by an adult.
Pencils and paper will be available in limited amounts for the evening sessions, so those planning to attend are encouraged to bring along a pencil and something to use as a drawing board. Drawing books and sketchbooks can be purchased in the lobby of the PAC.
