(BROWN CO.) - The Brown County Inn has a new look thanks to new owners.

Barry and Deborah Herring bought the landmark hotel from Andy Rogers last year. Rogers had owned the Inn for more than 24 years.

The Herrings are running the establishments with their help of their daughter, Courtney Gosser, and her husband, Dietrich.

The Inn was closed all of January and reopened February 4 - with a new look.

The dinning room, bar and pool facility and some rooms have been renovated.
The family hopes to have all 99 rooms completed and available to the public by the end of April.

Most of the same staff is also in place.

Some improvements include updating the banquet hall, new overhead doors and a new deck outdoor deck running the perimeter of the pool. The pool was also power washed and repainted and all the other equipment was replaced.

Barn style lighting now surrounds the dining area where chandeliers once hung. There is a new wood floor and new sliding doors to separate the room into sections.

The menu will remain much the same, but with some new fresh, local and even homemade items including a vegetarian items.

Another change is brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

While there are new changes, the some old will be re-purposed.

The solid wood pieces that once paneled the guest rooms are now being fashioned into headboards and renovate the bar.
