(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Parks Department announced registrations are open for the 2016 Bedford Softball Association Summer Softball leagues.
Deadline to register all leagues is April 1.
Tournament Play
April 22-23 Murray Park Worth Points Series Season Opener - C, D &E - $275 entry fee Deadline April 20, 4 p.m. (Men and Women) Women's entry fee - $225.
May 14 -15 - Josh Terry entry fee $200.00, deadline May 11, 4 p.m.- Women's tournament also, entry fee $200.
June 3-5 Bedford All Nighter / Worth Points Series -Men & Women's - Teams can start registering March 1st, Teams are in tournament only when they submit entry fee and roster. (No early list) Deadline - May 20, 4 p.m. Entry fee -$315.
June 25 -26 Worth Novice Coed Points - Entry fee - $275 - Deadline - June 22, 4 p.m.
July 23 -24 Men's Worth Series Points D&E, Deadline July 20, 4 p.m., entry fee $275.00 - Also Women's tournament - entry fee - $225.
August 12-14 - ASA Men's South D State, Worth Points Series, deadline August 10, 5 p.m. - $300.
August 27-28 - Riley Benefit Tournament Men and Women, entry fee $250, deadline August 24, 4 p.m.
Sept 3-4 - ASA Coed Novice State Tournament, Worth Series Points, deadline Aug 31, 5 p.m. - $300.
September 17-18 - Dason Spires Memorial Tournament, Men's and Women's, Deadline Sept. 14, 4 p.m.
October 15 -16 - BSA Coed Strong hand Tournament - Entry fee $225, deadline Oct 12, 4 p.m.
Softball Association Umpire Clinic
Bedford Softball Association Umpire Clinic will be held March 12 at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge at Murray Park from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m.
The cost to attend the class is $70. Those attending must pre-register by calling the park office at (812) 275-5692.
Softball Association Little League
Bedford Softball Association Little League Tournaments will be May 21-22 and July 30-31 at Wilson and Murray parks.
Age groups are 8U & 9U at Wilson Park and 10U-12U at Murray Park.
12U will use 50/70 Rule and 8U will be coach pitch.
Entry fee is $250.
Deadline to register May 11th at 4 p.m. and the May 21-22 tournament. Deadline to register is July 20th at 4 p.m. for the July 30-31 tournament.
