(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Wednesday after he violated a protective order.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers arrested 43-year-old Edward Jaggers of Bedford on a charge of invasion of privacy.
Bedford Police were asked Wednesday to accompany a Department for Child Services caseworker to go to a home in the 1900 block of 26th Street while they spoke to Jaggers.
The woman at the home told police that Jaggers was not there and was not allowed to be there because of a protective order she had filed against Jaggers.
"We then learned that he was at Hardee's," Chief Parsley says. "The case worker and officers went there and spoke to Mr. Jaggers. He then walked from Hardee's to the Circle K parking lot and got into a vehicle with the female [that] officers had just spoken with at the home on 26th Street."
Officers stopped the vehicle a short distance from the service station.
"The vehicle was stopped and Mr. Jaggers was arrested for violating the protective order," Parsley added.
