Bedford Man Arrested After Selling Meth To Informant

Last updated on Friday, February 19, 2016

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Thursday on a warrant after police say he sold meth to a confidential informant twice in late January.

Police arrested 43-year-old Michael Russell Jr. of Bedford on charges of dealing meth, possession of meth and maintaining a common nuisance.

Police say Russell sold crystal meth to a confidential informant. The informant was at a home when two men in a pickup truck parked in front of the home. They got out of the truck and went inside. A short time later, the two men left the home and the informant left after them after purchasing .92 grams of crystal meth from Russell.

Later in the month, the informant contacted police to say Russell had an eight ball of meth that he wanted to sell for $400. Officers scheduled the deal through the informant. The informant entered a vehicle with Russell, and after a short time, exited the vehicle with more than 3.73 grams of meth he had purchased from Russell.
