(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he drove his S-10 pickup a long distance off Donica Church Road Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the 1400 block of Donica Church Road after the property owner notified police that he found a truck stuck in the mud on his property. He also reported that the driver was attempting to free the vehicle.

Because the truck was a long ways off the roadway, officers had to be taken to the scene by a Kubota off-road vehicle.

When police arrived on the scene they determined that the driver, 23-year-old Jacob Pierce, was intoxicated. A trail camera belonging to the property owner had been removed and was found in Pierce's truck. Police also found Xanax and Suboxone in the vehicle.

Police arrested Pierce of Bedford on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance, theft, criminal mischief and trespassing.
