(SALEM) - Two drivers were injured in a crash on State Road 135 South Thursday afternoon.

According to an Indiana State Police report, the accident happened at 12:26 p.m.

State Trooper Travis Baker says the driver of a Mitsubishi SUV, 35-year-old Shannon Hinkle of Pekin, was traveling north on State Road 135 when she came on another driver, who had slowed for someone turning into a driveway.

Hinkle was distracted and didn't brake, colliding into the rear of a 1999 Mercury Sedan driven by 83-year-old Jack Floyd, causing the SUV to flip on its side.

Hinkle was taken by ambulance to Floyd County Hospital and Floyd was taken to St. Vincent-Salem Hospital by ambulance.
