Two Juveniles, One Adult Arrested After Breaking Into Sullivan Home

(SULLIVAN) - Two juveniles and one adult are facing multiple charges after they were arrested after breaking into a home in Sullivan Tuesday morning.

According to Sullivan Police, a woman came to the station and was banging on the door reporting three armed man had broke into her home.

When officers went to the home they were met by two victims who told police the armed suspects had fled.

The victims reported one of the suspects was armed with a black handgun and one had a black shotgun with a flashlight taped on the end.

The victim was able to name one of the suspects, a juvenile, after the mask they were wearing fell off.

After obtaining that lead, officers along with Indiana State Police and a K-9 unit went to the home armed with a search warrant.

There officers found a BB gun, marijuana and some of the items stolen from the home.

The police dog found the shotgun hide behind a fence on the property.

Police arrested Dereck Deichmiller II on charges of battery on a minor after police learned he 'trampled over a 5-month-old infant on breaking into the house.' He is also facing charges of criminal recklessness with a firearm, criminal mischief, battery, burglary with a deadly weapon, residential entry, interference with reporting of a crime, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, intimidation, theft and conspiracy to commit armed burglary.

A 15-year-old was arrested on charges of battery, criminal mischief, burglary, residential entry, visiting a common nuisance, theft and conspiracy to commit armed burglary.

A 17-year-old is facing charges of battery, criminal recklessness, criminal mischief, burglary, residential entry, criminal recklessness with a firearm, interference with reporting of a crime, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, intimidation, theft and conspiracy to commit armed burglary.
