(SOLSBERRY) - A Solsberry man was arrested on felony charges after police say he got a teenager pregnant.

Greene County Sheriff deputies arrested 36-year-old Jonathan A. Robertson, Friday at 1:45 p.m. Friday on preliminary charges of Level 3 felony rape compelled by force or imminent threat of force, Level 4 felony incest, Level 4 felony sexual misconduct with a minor, and Level 6 felony sexual battery.

Robertson was arrested after a month-long investigation by the Greene County Sheriff's Department (GCSD) in which Robertson allegedly raped a female relative.

According to a probable cause the investigation began after an individual contacted the Greene County Sheriff's Department reporting her daughter was seven to eight months pregnant. The teen allegedly told her mother she had been a victim of rape on two separate occasions.

Police met with the mother and teen on Dec. 11 after rumors on social media spread rumors the teen was pregnant. A pregnancy test proved the teen was indeed pregnant.

The teen told police she had a "father/daughter relationship" with Robertson, who was a relative. The teen said Robertson would buy her clothes and take her out to dinner.

Last February, he invited her to stay the night at his home. During that stay the teen alleged Robertson forced himself on her, despite her pushing him away and pleading with him to stop.

"(She) reported Jonathan is a very large and intimidating man and she was very scared of him," the report states.

The teen told police she didn't tell anyone about the attack. And she refused to talk to Robertson for several weeks.

Then in April, Robertson allegedly asked the teen's mother if the girl could stay at his home.

The teen reported she went back to his home because she "didn't want her mother to think something was wrong." She told the detective she was afraid her mother would blame herself.

Robertson allegedly forced himself on the teen again.

Since the second incident, the teen said she had only spoken with Robertson on one occasion. She called him in July to tell him she was pregnant.

Robertson allegedly told the teen to get an abortion and not to tell anyone or he would commit suicide.

Police attempted to contact Robertson by phone and at his home several times but were unsuccessful. Police then secured a search warrant for his home and his DNA.

After the child was born, a DNA test confirmed there was a 99.999 percent probability that Robertson was the biological father.

An arrest warrant was issued the day after the results were received and Robertson was arrested the same day.
