Seymour Woman Arrested After Crashing Into Ambulance

Last updated on Wednesday, January 13, 2016

(SEYMOUR) - A Seymour woman was arrested after she was involved in a wreck with an ambulance on the city’s east side Monday.

No one was injured in the crash that led to the arrest of 44-year-old Jennifer Ann Slone.

Slone was arrested on a Jenning County warrant charging her with driving while suspended and now is facing new charges.

The accident at Tipton Street and Jackson Park Drive did little to no damage to the Jackson County Emergency Medical Services ambulance, according to Dennis Brasher, executive director of Jackson County EMS.

Police say there was a patient on board at the time of the accident, but the person was not injured.

According to police the ambulance was stopped waiting for the stoplight to change when it was hit in the rear by a car driven by Slone.

Slone told police she was unable to get stop and struck the ambulance.

During the investigation, police learned Slone was wanted on a warrant in Jennings County for driving while her driver's license was suspended.

She was arrested on that charge and now faced an addition charge of driving while her driver's license was suspended with a prior conviction and false informing.
