Police Continue To Investigate Drugs Smuggled Into Jackson County Jail

(BROWNSTOWN) - Police continue to look for a female who left shoes containing tobacco, meth and marijuana for an inmate at the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown.

According to a Jackson County Police report, the incident occurred at 10 p.m. Saturday when the female gave the shoes to Jailer Daulton Anderson,

Jail regulations require an inspection of any item brought to an inmate, during that inspection, Anderson reported smelling marijuana coming from the shoes.

Anderson then contacted Jackson County officers.

Officers cut into the tongue of the shoes and found three plastic bags of tobacco, a plastic bag of meth and two plastic bags of marijuana.
