NLCS Board Rejects Bid On Englewood School

Last updated on Tuesday, January 12, 2016

(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence Community School Board rejected a bid for the vacant Englewood School.

The Times Mail reports that the bid was for $31,000.

In September the board rejected a bid of $40,000 for the building and grounds.

In July, officials sold the land west of the school, 1.5 wooded acres, to Victor Makzimenko for $10,251 in July and again advertised the sale of the school.

This will be the third time the property will be advertised.

The school, which served children with special needs, located on Washington Avenue was closed in May 2014. When the new school year began, students were moved to facilities at Stalker Elementary and Bedford North Lawrence High School.
