(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested Monday morning after police received a call reporting a man was sleeping at the door of an apartment at Persimmon Park Apartment.

Police received a call just before 11 a.m. reporting a man was found sleeping in the hallway at the resident's door at Persimmon Park Apartment.

The resident told police, they asked the man to leave, but he just moved to the bottom of the stairway and went back to sleep.

The caller reported they believed the man was intoxicated.

When police arrived a short time later the man had left the building and was last seen walking toward Rabbitsville Road in a grey coat with a hoodie and wearing khaki pants, carrying a black bag.

Because of the extreme low temperatures and the possibility that the man could be intoxicated police went looking for the man.

They found 20-year-old Ransom Lee, of 246 Bartlett Rd., walking at Wade Street and Bartlett Road. Police stopped Ransom to make sure he was okay and that is when they discovered Ransom was wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke probation. He was arrested and taken to jail.
