(MITCHELL) - When Marion Township and Shawswick Volunteer Fire Departments arrived at a house fire at 835 Stevens Lane smoke and flames were coming from the roof.
Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at 9:32 p.m.
Jeremy Shaff, his wife Sarah and their twin infants were not home at the time of the fire.
The fire was in the attic of the home and burned through the backside of the house.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene was a Seals ambulance crew and Lawrence County Police.
