(UNDATED) - The deadline has been extended for Indiana Bicentennial torchbearer nominations.
Hoosiers can now submit nominations for people to carry the torch in the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay through January 31.
The torchbearer nominations are meant to recognize Hoosiers who demonstrate exceptional public service, excellence in their professional, acts of heroism or volunteer service to their neighborhood, community, region or state.
The bicentennial torch will pass through all 92 counties from September 9th through October 15th, ending at the grounds of the statehouse in Indianapolis.
