Last updated on Tuesday, January 19, 2016

(SEYMOUR) - The search of a Seymour home has landed a couple behind bars.

Police arrested 32-year-old Joseph Evans and his wife, 32-year-old Toni Evans, both of Seymour, on charges of dealing meth, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of meth in the presence of a child under the age of 18. Joseph Evans was on home detention at the time of this arrest. Both were booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown.

The couple was arrested Thursday at their home in the 900 block of West Oak Street after an investigation by Jackson Jennings Community Corrections officers and Seymour Police.

Officers searched the home after receiving information about possible drug activity at the home.

During the search officers found drug paraphernalia, 19.8 grams of crystal meth, marijuana and $1,306.75 in cash.

The couple admitted to selling drugs out of the home and the money found was from those drug deals.
