WSLM Rockin' Christmas Show To Benefit Shop With A Cop With Local And Regional Acts

Last updated on Friday, December 4, 2015

(SALEM) - For the second year, WSLM RADIO will be bringing local and regional music talents to the stage at the Salem Middle School for a benefit to raise money for Shop With A Cop.

"I'm super excited and ready to get the season kicked off," said Rebecca White. "And what better way to celebrate Christmas than with a Christmas concert and giving to those less fortunate."

White has set WSLM Radio's Rockin' Christmas for Dec. 12 at 6p. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

"This year's program is bigger and better than ever! We'll have almost three hours of music from artists from around the Kentuckiana area. We're going to have some great acts back from last year and a few new ones and some surprises," said White.

Local favorites include members of Country Bourne, one of the last public performances by Moonshine and Berries, Short Notice Band, Deb Lyle Doyle, her sister Salem School Superintendent DL Reed as well as her husband, John Reed.

White said 12 groups are planned for the evening, each singing an average of three songs, with a finale planned including all the groups singing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas."

"We have 30-plus Christmas songs," said White. "Also we have some surprises between acts. It's going to be a fun show that nobody will want to miss! Where else could you go hear this many great Christmas songs from great groups in the area? A family of four can spend a great evening together and help others - all for less than the price of a trip to the movies."

Tickets are available from City of Salem Police Officers, Salem Firefighters and WSLM.

"Be sure and bring your numbered ticket to the show to enter a drawing for a $50 Walmart gift card," said White.
