Williams Teen Injured After Falling Asleep While Driving

(BEDFORD) - A Williams teen was injured after she fell asleep while driving Wednesday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 17-year-old Emily Lintz was traveling west on Tunnelton Road near Vinegar Hill Road in her 2001 Chevrolet Malibu around 7:44 a.m. when she fell asleep.

The Chevrolet went off the roadway waking Lintz. She attempted to steer the car back onto the roadway but struck a tree.

Lintz complained of stomach pain.

A Seals ambulance and Shawswick VFD and Bedford Fire Department extrication unit assisted at the scene.
