Three Injured In Two-Vehicle Crash

(SULLIVAN CO.) - Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning on State Road 48 near Hymera.

According to an Indiana State Police report, 27-year-old Joshua Julian of Shelburn was traveling east on East State Road 48 and was attempting to make a left turn into a driveway at 8133 East State Road, but turned his 1999 Ford F-350 into the path of a westbound Chevrolet Malibu driven by 19-year-old Brandon Leech of Jasonville.

The impact forced Julian's truck to roll.

Brandon Leech and two passengers, 19-year-old Liam O'Neil and 18-year-old Tiffany Hazelwood, both of Linton, were taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment of lacerations, contusions, and pain. Joshua Julian was not injured during the incident.

Seatbelts were in use by all and no citations were issued.

The crash was investigated by ISP Master Trooper Polly Blackburn. Assisting were the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, Sullivan County EMS, and Hymera Fire/Rescue.
