Police Recover 4 Pounds Of Meth With Street Value In Excess of $250,000

(COLUMBUS) - Authorities recovered four pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated street value in excess of $250,000 during a raid on Monday afternoon.

The search warrant was conducted by the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) at Hilltop Mobile Home Park, located at U.S. 31 and County Road 650 South.

36-year-old Juan L. Chavez of Elizabethtown was arrested and taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on charges of dealing in meth. 37-year-old Christina A. Amores of Columbus was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and 21-year-old Bryan M. Alvidrez of Moreno Valley, California, was charged with false informing.

JNET is a collaboration that combines the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department, Columbus Police Department and Bartholomew County Prosecutor's Office.
