(BEDFORD) - Jo Ann Kasprzycki was named the Bedford Chamber’s 2015 Community Service Award recipient Tuesday.
Kasprzycki has served on the boards of the United Way of Lawrence County, Psi Iota Xi philanthropic sorority, Bedford Exchange Club, Lawrence County Economic Growth Council, IU Health of Bedford, the Lawrence County Community Foundation and the Bedford Chamber of commerce.
Beautification award went to David Miller in honor of the recently completed Stonecutters Place apartments at the corner of 16th and K streets. The efforts of Hoosier Uplands and the city of Bedford through the Stellar Community Program will provide 30 downtown apartments to citizens over the age of 62 and make a positive contribution to the downtown economy.
