(INDIANAPOLIS) - Ten Indiana nonprofit organizations across the state now have more resources to build tomorrow's leaders thanks to $131,000 in grants from the Comcast Foundation - included in the grant was the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington.

"As a leader in a high-tech field, I can tell you how important it is to have a diverse, and highly-qualified workforce" said Nadine Heinen, Vice President of Field Operations in Indiana. "It takes more than training to cultivate the next generation of Hoosier tech leaders. It also takes inspiration from those who have blazed their own trail to success. Programs like the Boys and Girls Club, Girls Inc, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Urban League provide such a useful map so that many Hoosier kids can grow up to find a successful path."

The organizations receiving Comcast Foundation grants include:

  • Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington $10,000
  • Fort Wayne Urban League $20,000
  • Girls Incorporated of Indianapolis $ 10,000
  • Indianapolis Urban League $15,000
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana $10,000
  • Muncie Boys and Girls Club $10,000
  • Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville $10,000
  • Big Brothers and Big Sister of Central Indiana $16,000
  • Urban League of Madison County $15,000
  • Urban League of Northwest IN. $15,000
